We'll never be the same

The
America
We
Once
Had
Is
Changing

No more hotdogs and barbeques, no more fireworks and fireflies, no more happy family gatherings.

Comrades...we are...one....now...

Sound familiar? Tune in to faux every single day and that's the spiel you'll get. Disgustingly horrendous. Scaremongering at its finest...

The Problem

The main problem I see in today's America is Democrat vs Republican.

Sure I wish we could all be "one" but that wouldn't "accomplish" anything..

The left are right on many issues
The right are right on many issues

When will it end?

Will the two parties ever mix?

Will people like Stephen Colbert, Glenn Beck, and Ron Paul ever get along? Is that impossible?

Quoting Glenn Beck here again: My problem is that I love my country too much...

Glenn Beck's rally (further continued)

So apparently around 500,000 people showed up at the Restoring Honor Rally for the G man.

That's a TON of people for a political rally, even if it is in the heart of D.C.
There was a counter rally, but it really wasn't that successful.

Now, the restoring honor rally was all about how religion and God need to be the focus
of today's Americans and how "we" all need to "return to God"

What I don't understand, however, is how Glenn Beck can possibly generalize "we" as
"all" Americans.

Americans are intelligent, and, have tons of different opinions on different issues.

If Glenn Beck wants to make a point, he needs to avoid mass generalizations, it only gets him
into trouble and makes him look ignorant.

Glenn Beck's rally

So the big G man is holding a "Restoring Honor" rally on 8/28/10

Thoughts?

Heres the link:http://www.glennbeck.com/828/

There's supposed to be a HUGE turnout for the event with most of the crowd composing of tea party activists.

I have nothing against this; I personally say let the American public see the crazies for what they are: absolutely crazy.
Does it ever strike you as odd that Americans think of themselves as the greatest people in the world? I mean, sure, I'm proud as hell to be an American, but I think the whole shirt with a flag on it thing is a little over the top...

Republicans seem to be the best at this. All they do is talk patriotism patriotism patriotism and support every action the president makes (except when it's a democrat in office, of course)

I feel like we as a country need to do more uniting, and less dividing

I love my Country too much....thats my biggest problem

That's my problem, guys. I love America too much.
If it were up to me, America would always be the shining beacon of light
that it is and keep on bringing hope to millions.
Yet, theres change. Obama is our president now. Now, we don't have that shining
beacon of light. We lost it America....we...lost it...

You see what I did thar? I took something Glenn Beck did on his show to show how utterly
preposterous it is. You can't appeal to America by speaking on behalf of MILLIONS of
Americans (lots of whom were opposed to the Vietnam war may I remind you...)

You have to have tolerance. Tolerance and understanding. Nobody is exactly the same as
everyone else. Find tolerance and maybe America WILL be that beacon of shining light...

America is slipping

I love America.
I'm sure you do too.
Hell, we all LOVE America.
We're the greatest democracy on earth.

However, times are a troubling gentlemen. We've got people like Glenn Beck,
Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, George Bush, and Rush Limbaugh trying to
destroy the America we live for and love.

Vote liberal. Vote for change. Vote for...democracy..
