9/11

So 9/11 is approaching rapidly.

I think the whole Koran burning thing is disgusting, yet I see the anger that people have
and why they're doing it.

I support it, as it is freedom of speech, yet the negativity it's going to cause won't do anything
for Islamic American relations.

And yes, the fact that they're unveiling the mosque ON 9/11 is absolutely horrendous.

Sure it's a freedom of religion ISSUE, but the date/planning could have been MUCH better...

Will be surprised if it doesn't get vandalized every single day, etc etc burned down, etc etc

  1. Weren't the ones organizing the whole mosque at ground zero considering backing off with the whole idea?

  6. It's not technically a mosque, it's an Islamic Cultural Center, basically a Muslim YMCA. And I'm pretty sure it's not being revealed on 9/11. Also, the 9/11 terrorists hate America and our freedoms, so if we don't let this place open up, it's inhibiting American freedoms and essentially pandering to terrorists.

    Anyway, following :)

  10. As much as I disagree with the entire hate issue towards Muslims in America I agree that it is a peculiar location for placing the center.

That being said, burning the Koran should be considered a hate crime or some similar form of discrimination. If someone were to burn a few Bibles, how would people respond to that?

  21. Nothing is sacred. Burning a book accomplishes nothing. Just idiots exchanging temper-tantrums. None of this crap is going to change what's happened, nor does it even address the issues of it's cause. But more importantly, can we just move on already?! Everyday I'm more ashamed of being American.
